a typical Balinese snacks that not be forgotten is the milk pie,,

bali milk pie is good pie ENAAAK milk cap,, (promotion...  : p)


bali milk pie same as usual but the difference between a flat shape and its contents are made from sweet milk .... yummy ....

Roast Suckling Pig

Roast Suckling Pig is a typical food of Bali's most popular.

Roast Suckling Pig is a kind of side dishes made from female or male piglets are intact except the entrails removed entirely replaced with herbs and vegetables such as cassava leaves, roasted on the embers of the fire as he twisted around (rolled) to cooked color marked premises skin become brown and crispy.

The most delicious and yummy roast suckling pig I've ever eat is Ibu Oka's

Ibu Oka is, restaurant with open air restaurant which one location is located right in the middle of Ubud town.
You have to leave early to avoid long queues
This restaurant is very crowded and full with many tourism

The most frequently ordered food is balinese mixed rice



For just 20,000rp you’ll get served a plate of rice, with slices of roast pork, fried sausage, pork fat, skin and Balinese spicy vegetables (lawar).

Matah Sauce


Matah sauce is kind of traditional sauce in Bali.

It contains of raw shallot, lemongrass, and chilli






Ingredients:
 
15 shallots, peeled and sliced in half length-way, then finely crosswise sliced

 
15 bird's eye chilies, sliced

 
4 cloves garlic, finely sliced

 
5  lime leaves, finely sliced

 
1 tsp roasted dried shrimp paste, finely grated

 
4 stalks lemon grass, only take the white and tender

part, bruised and finely sliced
 
1 tsp salt

 
¼ tsp freshly ground black peppercorn

 
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice

 
75 ml oil




How to make:

Combine all other ingredients and mix thoroughly for about 3 minutes

Lembat Satay Recipe

Ingredients:

300 grams of red snapper fillets, mashed
300 grams of shrimp, puree
300 grams of beef, mashed
500 grams grated coconut
5 pieces of lime leaves, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon black pepper, crushed
2 teaspoons salt
3-5 pieces chili pepper, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Stalk lemongrass, take the white, leave intact, to taste

10 pieces of chili sauce (raw ingredients)
10 pieces of red pepper (seasoning ingredient)
2 tablespoons brown sugar (raw ingredients)
2 cloves garlic (raw ingredients)
4 tablespoons cooking oil (raw ingredients)
12 cm turmeric (raw ingredients)
2.5 cm kencur (raw ingredients)
2 stalks lemongrass, thinly sliced (raw ingredients)
9 cm galangal (raw ingredients)
10 hazelnuts (raw ingredients) 


HOW TO MAKE:

1. Blend the spice ingredients.
2. Combine snapper with shrimp and stir well.
3. Enter the grated coconut, spices that have been mashed, lime leaves, black pepper, salt, cayenne pepper and brown sugar, toss well.
4. Take approximately 1 tablespoon, then wrap the stems lemongrass. Compact enough.
5. Grilled over charcoal embers until cooked and fragrant.
6. Dip the meat into the hot cooking oil for a while.
7. Serve with Matah sauce

Lembat Satay


Lembat satay is kind of traditional dish in Bali.

Lembat satay isn't  like satay as usual,it uses long stem lemongrass as skewers. So it tastes more fragant

Lembat satay not use pieces of chicken but uses a ground mixture of snapper fish meat, shrimp or ground meat

lembat satay tastes good ..especially if eaten with bali matah sauce..

Lawar recipe

Chicken Lawar Recipes
 
you will need :
3 cup long beans, cut into ½ cm size, hard-boiled.
½ cup shredded coconut, toasted.
Garlic, peeled, sliced, then fried.
6-8 spring onions, peeled, sliced fried.
2 eggs red chili, seeded, cut into oblique.
4-6 grains of Java chili, sliced.
3 tsp ground dried chillies.
2 tablespoons chicken broth flavor.
Fried onions to taste for garnish

Dressing Ingredients:

250 grams boneless chicken meat, sliced into small pieces or shredded.
2 tablespoons chicken broth flavor.
1 teaspoon lemon juice.
1 tsp salt.
½ tsp black pepper, puree.
Banana leaves for wrapping 


How to make ::

1. Combine beans, coconut, onion, garlic, chilli and Umbu chicken broth in a bowl. Toss well.

2. For the dressing mix the slices (shredded) chicken broth with 2 sdmbumbu chicken. Stir evenly to form a dough. After that, place the dough lengthwise on a banana leaf, then roll until solid.

3. Steam the rolls for 20 minutes earlier.

4. Remove the aluminum foil and banana leaf. mix chicken meat with a fork.

5. Combine chicken with boiled beans. Add salt and peper and lime juice.

6. Garnish with crispy fried onions.

Hello, this is post my first entry,

I'll start with the first Balinese food.
Bali is an exotic islands, it's beaches, it's scenery,it's art, it's culture and most of all it's culinary.
Balinese food is famous for its distinctive and unique taste,,

For this time I will discuss one of the most famous Bali's dish is Lawar

Lawar is typical Balinese vegetable (such as long bean, grated coconut, bean sprout, red chili, etc.)

dishes which are usually filled with minced meat Pig, Chicken and Beef. 


Then, on stirring with a super delicious spices with additional lemon slices as leaves, too.
Then served with warm rice in daytime...
